A new app for android devices helps parents and speech therapists make speech therapy fun and exciting for children struggling with articulation.

Salt Lake City, Utah February 27^th, 2016 -  Valley Speech and Language Therapy, a private speech therapy practice has teamed with Smart Finger apps to create Speech Essentials, the first comprehensive articulation app for Android devices.

Speech Essentials was designed by a certified speech therapist to combine today’s technology with the traditional techniques used by experienced speech therapists to create a new and entertaining way for children to practice speech therapy.  Speech therapists know that one of the biggest challenges associated with correcting speech problems in young children is holding their attention through repetitive drills.  By incorporating bright colors, fund cartoons, high quality pictures and sounds, and several in app games, Speech Essentials solves this problem. 

Speech Essentials can also be purchased by parents to use as a structured but fun way to reinforce at home the techniques taught in therapy sessions. 

This new app is welcome addition to the Googleplay forAndroid, which has lagged behind the Apple Appstore for years in the variety and quality of educational apps available to its customers. 

The B sound can be downloaded for free and contains all of the functions and features necessary to facilitate articulation practice.  Additional sounds can be purchased for a few dollars.  For speech therapists the entire suite of sounds can be purchased at a heavily discounted price.
