I run one of the largest and most established language learning/travel immersion blogs called 'The Mezzofanti Guild'. Over the past 5 years, the blog has focused primarily on my travels and experiences living abroad in various countries learning new languages and documenting what I've learned (with occasional guest posts). Although the blog is targeted at 'general' language learning, the bulk of my audience has been learners of Arabic, Korean, Russian and Irish but this is something I hope to expand by welcoming new writers experienced in learning other languages as well as travel. I have a large, engaged readership and have always focused on high quality content over quantity (longer, well-researched posts). Writing style is very personal and casual (no dry academic tone). See my blog for examples of my writing style. --- I'm looking for language learners and culture 'connoisseurs' (people who don't just travel as tourists but are genuinely passionate about cultural immersion). You will write personalized, well-informed posts on your travel and learning experiences (you'll primarily write in the 1st person), sharing your insights into other cultures and languages. These can be a mixture of anecdotal and factual posts, funny or serious as long as they ultimately help my readers. You'll be properly acquainted with current language products, books and courses, and able to make honest recommendations based on your OWN experience. Posts are generally 1500-2500 words long, several sub-headings, relevant featured image (that you will supply and have full rights to) link to other posts on my blog and contain a call-to-action (social media share, aff link, mailing list opt-in, etc.). The goal of every post is to be as useful and interesting as possible to the average language learner or traveller (extra points for healthy controversy). May become a permanent role for the right person/people.
