Job Description: In this role, you will be a key player in our go to market strategy. You will drive the inbound marketing machine that will crank out awesome, provocative content for our readers. In this position, the focus will be on creating highly valuable content based on insights from our own remote team as well as our customers. Our aim is to realize the vision that Joe Pulizzi lays out in his book Content Inc: establishing Crossover as an influencer in our field so we find the right audience who is desperately looking for our solutions. The majority of your time each week will be spent interviewing and learning insights from this unique global work phenomenon and carefully crafting, editing, and perfecting your content pieces. Once you’ve crafted your content pieces each week, you’ll work closely with our content hacker to allocate $2,000/week (1k towards Facebook ads and 1k towards adWords) to spreading your content to the target audiences. Key responsibilities: Produce engaging, useful and relevant content for our readers. Write for different media, including to press, social media, and email campaigns. Cultivate relationships with social media influencers. Pitch articles to different guest blogs and media outlets. Maintain social media brand presence and post regularly based on the editorial calendar. Author email drip campaigns for our inbound marketing strategy. Nurture leads and develop viral awareness of Crossover. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience of content generation. Proven success in building a reader base from scratch into a flourishing inbound marketing beast. Personal network of media and journalism professionals. Experience in the IT Software industry and general understanding of the trade and its landscape. Coachability and efficiency. We love creativity and encourage provocative thinking.
